My target 150 kms

i'm taking on 100 km for Women V Cancer! because having had Cancer twice myself, I know how important it is to keep supporting charites like these

I'm taking on 100 km for Women V Cancer because...

Now more than ever all three Women V Cancer charities need our support. That’s why this July I’ll be conquering 100 km and raising money for them.

By taking part I’m helping these amazing charities continue their vital work raising awareness, funding research and providing support. Together, we’ll ride, run and walk thousands of kilometres for women affected by breast, ovarian and cervical cancer. I'm taking part to help Women V Cancer raise £100,000 for Breast Cancer Now, Ovarian Cancer Action and Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust, so that no one has to face cancer alone.

Whatever you can donate, any amount will help these three amazing causes! Thank you.

Day 7 Thurs 30th July

Friday 31st Jul
Our last push today to get to our personal target of 150 Kms.
Home to Parley, then along the Stour Valley Way to Iford and on to Hengistbury Head for an Ice Cream!
Home for rest and cup of tea.
Have had great fun doing this and if gave meaning to our cycle rides, even though at the beginning, because people had donated so much, we felt some pressure not to let anyone down.

Day 6 Weds 29th July

Friday 31st Jul
Good long ride today 43 kms. Home to Burley via Holmsley. Stop for a chat to a New Forest Ranger about butterflys in the area, then coffee break att the White Buck in Burley.
Home via country lanes through Ripley & Burton.
Great day out and weather ideal.

Meeting up with family,  who are visiting the area for a few days. I cycled to Mudeford, chatted before having lunch and a stroll by Mudeford Harbour, very busy indeed!!
Cycled home a pretty way to make up some kilometers!!

Day 4 Monday 27th July

Wednesday 29th Jul
Horrible wet day again, so didn't get out until late afternoon.
Just did a short walk, put on the wrong shoes and ended up with silly blisters on my heal ugh!!!

Day 3 Sunday 16th July

Wednesday 29th Jul
My team mate was sending the day with his family.
I went off on a ride in the morning. Good ride, via country lanes. Weather ideal.

Wednesday 29th Jul
Rained all day, eventually stopped late afternoon.
We went for a short walk only.

Day 2 July 25th

Day 1

Saturday 25th Jul

Day 1 Friday 24th July

Saturday 25th Jul
Had a great cycle ride today with Phill Denson my team mate.
We managed 34.4 km so very pleased with that. Had nice ride, we try to avoid very busy roads but ended up cycling across parts of New Forest and along country lanes to home.
Were lucky enough to spot some Red Kite flying over a field being harvested.

Ready to go!!
